I've been staying at various motel 6s in the Des Moines area for quite some time now since the north side one has closed and turned into their new super six or whatever I've been spending most of my time staying at the North side one and over the years it is deteriorated to a mid-level slum housing complex infested with roaches footstep now after about a year have started making any honest and decent effort to clean up but it was at one point not uncommon to walk in and be greeted by more bugs of infestation but then actual workers overall cleanliness of the room is of a hassle to just not focused on the cleaning job just barely making it cozy enough to stay

My bedding had holes in it. Only one light worked in the room. Air conditioner heating unit did not seem to operate. Entire property was ran down and in poor shape.

We didn't like anything at all about this dive! Mice, roaches and flies all over the room we spent 30 minutes in. They charged our credit card twice and then called the police on us when we protested the charges. A big thanks to the officer who told us we should be thankful to be leaving before staying overnight in a room of filth and with an office staff who "obviously couldn't wipe their own butt properly if they were handed directions." We gladly left and contacted a lawyer immediately who will file a civil suit this week.

Absolutely nothing. It is up there at #1 on my never, ever go back list. I've stayed at some shady places, but this was the worst. Definitely not worth the money.
